Rock Lobsters vs BBO's

The BBO’s consisted of four charming ladies and a twink with a deft touch. They were able to capitalise on the Rock Lobsters first time jitters as they were swamped 5-0 by the BBO's in the first half while conceding 2 goals in the opening 2 minutes. The Lobsters were caught on the fast break far too many times and were pushing too many players forward to attack on goals. However the one-sided score did not reflect the nature of the match as the Lobsters had most of the attacking play and had far more shots on goal. Once the Lobsters developed a better formation (not having all 4 field players in the attacking quarter) they became more competitive.
The second half was an even contest and should have been won by the Rock Lobsters had they not given up two penalties due to a lack of understanding of the rules.
Chris’s attacking run and pressure was a highlight as well as his ability to bring his teammates into the game with his creative passing. Unfortunately he was involved in a late incident where an opposing feisty female collided with him and in self-defence, whacked him in the Lobster Shack with some choice words to help his medicine go down. Needless to say, she was lucky to avoid receiving a card.
When the next encounter occurs, the Rock Lobsters will be a better placed team in terms of chemistry, ability and understanding. They will be keen to reverse the 4-9 score line and should be well equipped to do so. The BBO’s will have to be on their toes to avoid such an outcome. Their best weapon might be to flirt and distract the male team members of the Rock Lobsters as I have a feeling they will have no answers for what awaits them next time.
